Unit Formation Meeting - Fort Meade

Please pass this announcement to Cadets and Family/Friends and anyone interested in theU.S. Army Cadet Corps who are from Virginia, Maryland, Deleware or Eastern Pennsylvania
A Unit Formation Meeting and Cadet Unit Training Assembly (Drill) will be held by COL Joseph M. Land, Sr., USAC Chief of Staff, U.S. Army Cadet Corps on Saturday, 23 Aug 08 from 0900-1430 at the
Army Reserve Center 2118 21 1/2 Street, Fort Meade, MD 20755
This meeting is open to Cadets, family members, adults interested in volunteering and Prospective Recruits and their families. The Purpose of this meeting is to provide information and support to local families and other interested personnel who are interested in forming units within Maryland and Virginia. This is a one-time only event, so please plan to participate.
Additionally, training will be arranged for Cadets, allowing this meeting will count for drill points for Individual Training Company personnel! Once we know how many people will attend, an agenda and information regarding lunch will be provided. Contrary to previous discussions, we will NOT conduct a similar meeting at Fort Lee on Sunday, 24 Aug 08 due to scheduling conflicts. Therefore, interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend the above meeting.
If you are interested in participating, either as a Cadet attending the drill, or an adult who wishes to help form a unit, you MUST register in the participation database at:
If there are not at least TEN REGISTRATIONS, then the meeting will be cancelled. Cadets and military personnel are to wear ACUs or comparable uniform. Several folks have contacted us about forming units in Maryland and Virginia. This is the time to get started! I look forward to meeting you on the 23rd.

Dayton Fair Registration

Registration is open for the Dayton Fair mission at the National Cadet Training Center in Dayton, PA. Please register in the Travel Database if you wish to attend. Details will be posted at www.acacadets.org this evening.

There will NOT be online enrollment. As a result, payments may be made upon reporting with NO LATE FEES.

Unit personnel: If there are several from your unit who wish to attend, please contact COL Land regarding group rates for meals. We may be able to provide limited training grant funding for details of not less than four officers/Cadets who are coming from a unit.

This will a very fun opportunity! We look forward to having you attend.

Due to the overwhelming response to the Graduation on Sunday morning, we are trying to secure a larger facility.

We are at 350+ guests already, in addition to the Training Battalion with 175 more. Watch this site closely for up-to-the-minute details.
